If at all you're planning on using WordPress for project management you need to make sure that it's totally secure. Most users think that the chances of them being hacked are near zero. However, the hard truth is that the number of cases of people losing data and entire websites due to hacks keeps increasing each and every day.

If at all you intend to use WordPress make sure that the security measures that you employ are top notch. Some of the many things that you could do include:
Use of strong Passwords
This is something that everyone should do; but, most people fail to choose a secure password. They never bother about it as according to them this isn't an important step and the main part is the actual construction of the site. But, if someone does happen to break through all your hard work can go in vain.
Be Updated
When using WordPress, one of the first rules in the book is to keep your website updated and using the latest version of WordPress as if at all any bugs are present in the previous versions they're taken care of in the newer updates.
Some of the bugs could even be security threats and therefore you need to make sure that you get each and every update ASAP.
Stay away from malicious themes and plugins
When you use the WordPress CMS platform there are plenty of themes and plugins to choose from each of them offering you amazing functionality and properties. However, not all of them are safe to use.
Try to avoid the free plugins and themes unless you download them form the official WordPress.org site as there would be plenty of other people testing and using the plugins and themes as well.
Disable file editing
WordPress gives you as an administrator the power to edit theme as well as plugin files. However, if at all a hacker manages to break through they would easily be able to change php files and various other files.
Therefore, to prevent this you should add
Define('Disallow_file_edit',true);
To your wp-config.php file which you'd find on your host servers.
User privileges
Many people would sign up to your website and probably you would need your co-workers and staff to sign up in order to help with the project management work. However, you need to make sure that the privileges they receive are curtailed.
